The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced the plebiscite results at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, July 30.

A press statement from Comelec said 32,380 of 114,416 or 28.30 percent of Bacoor’s registered voters participated in the plebiscite.

The local government unit (LGU) said the merging of barangays is a strategic move to optimize resources, improve service delivery, and foster closer community ties.

The unity and cooperation of our barangays is a big step towards a stronger community. It will open more opportunities for all and bring more services and projects to our fellowmen),” Mayor Strike B. Revilla wrote on a Facebook post.
