BAGUIO CITY – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has distributed a total of P45 million in aid to four provinces in the Cordillera region affected by typhoon “Egay.”
Marcos and Special Assistant to the President Anton Lagdameo handed over a check for P20 million to Abra Gov. Dominic Valera and P10 million each to Benguet Gov. Melchor Diclas and Mountain Province Gov. Bonifacio Lacwasan Jr. on July 29.
The Chief Executive gave P5 million to Kalinga Gov. James Edubba when he visited the province of Cagayan.
The Department of Agriculture turned over a total of P9.9 million for farmers while the Department of Labor and Employment awarded P15 million under the TUPAD or the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers for Abra.
This city, Ifugao, and Apayao have yet to receive assistance from the President.
