Mutilated fetus found in Ormoc City

TACLOBAN CITY – A severely mutilated fetus was found by a fisherman near a fish cage on Saturday afternoon, July 29, in Barangay Naungan, Ormoc City. The fetus' gender could not be determined because it was decomposing and its lower body was detached. Initial investigation disclosed that the decomposing fetus was found by a certain Emmar Dajab, 46, a resident of Barangay Naungan. Dajab told police he just came from his fish cage when he saw the decomposing fetus upon docking his boat on the shoreline. He reported what he found to their local officials who called the police. Residents surmise that the fetus came from another area and washed out to the sea in Barangay Naungan. Forensics probers are processing the fetus despite its condition. No one has claimed the body.
