The LGBTQIA+ Community’s fight for inclusivity, diversity, and equal rights doesn't end in June. While we bid farewell to the colorful month, our mission of creating safe spaces for our queer brothers and sister and making their voices heard continues. And if you need a constant reminder, these pieces are serving just that.

American clothing brand Levi's Pride 2023 collection spotlights self-expression with its campaign that asks, “How do you show up?” The line features a lavender-hued color palette that salutes LGBTQIA+ activist groups of the ’70s and ’90s whose energy brought an explosive fearlessness to the gay rights movement and mirrors the cultural push forward by queer and trans youth today. From the 501 ’93 Straight Jeans and the Pride Muscle Tank to the Liberation Trucker Vest and Pride Bucket Hat in Deep Purple, no matter where you show up on the spectrum of self-expression, this collection is for you.
“The Levi’s Pride 2023 campaign is a global celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and its powerful history of genuine self-expression,” said Lance Relicke, vice president of Global Brand Experience at Levi Strauss & Co. “From clubs to protests to Pride parades, wherever people gather in the name of love and inclusivity, so many of them will proudly show up in their Levi’s and 501 jeans. There’s so much genuine love for the Levi’s brand in the LGBTQIA+ community and we’re thrilled to reciprocate that love—all of the time, but especially during Pride 2023.”
As an extension of its support for the LGBTQIA+ community, the brand also made an annual $100,000 donation to Outright International, a global organization working to advance human rights for LGBTQIA+ people worldwide. In the Philippines, Levi’s partnered with Pantay, a youth-led lobbying community advocating for gender-transformative legislation in the Philippine Congress.
Converse's "Proud to Be" collection
Another brand aiming to empower the LGBTQIA+ community is Converse. To do that, the American lifestyle brand presents its "Proud to Be" collection. Its Run Star Legacy CX, Chuck 70 De Luxe Heel, and Chuck Taylor All Star, among others, are imbued with the Progress Pride flag, which is stitched into each shoe's tongue. Each silhouette is adorned with its own embellishments, such as Pride laces, rainbow outsoles, and chunky glitter upper.
“Proudly designed by LGBTQIA+ employees and allies of Converse, the brand also acted on feedback from the community to offer a great range of sizing options,” the brand said. “Converse recognizes the queer community as boundless—representing a full spectrum of freeing, unapologetic, and diverse experience.”
