Drug store robbery suspect collared in Quezon

GENERAL NAKAR, Quezon – A drug store robbery suspect was arrested thru closed-circuit television camera here on Sunday, July 2. Police identified the suspect as Aphinzel Avellaneda, 38, single, a resident of this town. Investigation said the suspect destroyed the grill of the drugstore and then robbed the establishment of P32,000 kept in a cashier drawer at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. The incident was discovered later by the pharmacy assistant. A CCTV footage review caught the suspect who was positively identified by the pharmacy assistant and two witnesses. Police here led by Police Capt. Daniel dela Cruz nabbed Avellaneda in a hot-pursuit operation in Barangay Anoling hours later.
