100 Tondo boys benefit from MPD's free circumcision program

Around 100 boys in Tondo, Manila were circumcised for free during the Operation Tuli of the Manila Police District (MPD) Moriones Station (PS 2) on Monday, July 3. Manila Fourth District Councilor Dr. Louie Chua together with PS2 station commander Lt. Col. Rosalino Ibay spearheaded the activity. They said the program aims to promote good hygiene through free circumcision services to teens and adolescents in Tondo. "Minsan lang tayo mabigyan ng pagkakataon tumulong, kung among matutulong namin itulong na natin dahil hindi na tayo mabibigyan ng pagkakataon, at ang team Chua ang always ang aming adhikain ay serbisyo (We are only given few chances to help, so if we can, let's help because we might not be given another chance, and the team Chua, our always aim is to provide service," Chua said. Aside from free circumcision, MPD also subsidized some medicines, antibiotics, and pain relievers for youngsters. Meanwhile, MPD awarded Dr. Chua and other medical practitioners who took part in the activity. It also recognized the participation of the barangay officials in Tondo.
