Cash assistance, psychological aid provided to kins of motorbanca tragedy victims
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office IV-A gave P10,000 cash assistance to the bereaved families of passengers who perished in the recent motorbanca mishap in Binangonan, Rizal.

A total of 18 families from Talim Island received the assistance, said DSWD on Saturday, July 29. DSWD social workers also provided simultaneous psychological first aid to the family members to help them manage and cope with the stress brought on by the incident. The agency assured that it would also provide aid to the relatives of other victims in the following days.

Search and retrieval continue
The search and retrieval for missing victims of the ill-fated M/B Aya Express continue after its short deferment due to inclement weather. As of this writing, there were 27 bodies retrieved and 43 people rescued.READ:
