President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has been receiving so many invitations from other countries, it has become a "problem".

But it's a good problem to have, House Speaker Martin Romualdez noted.

In an interview with Manila-based journalists in Malaysia earlier this week, Romualdez gave an idea of just how popular the Philippine leader is on the international stage.

"Yun ang problema dito. And daming invitation kasi nakikita niyo ang daming (That's the problem here. There are so many invitations you can see there are a lot of)...They find him so statesman-like," said Romualdez.

The House Speaker had just accompanied Marcos to a three-day state visit to Malaysia.

"Malaking problema (It's a big problem)...so that’s a good sign," the Leyte 1st district congressman said with a hearty laugh.

"Wow, of course there’s the APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation) in November. But I know there’s anumber of invitations," he said.

Romualdez said there's also an invite from Brunei, although he pointed to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) for confirmation.

"But yun ang problema sa kaniya kung baga very, very ano, very popular si PBBM dito. Nakita ng lahat napakadali kausap, napaka ayos kausap (But that's the problem with him because PBBM is very, very popular here. Everybody saw that he was easy and great to talk to)," he further said.
