Marcos greets INC on 109th founding anniversary


President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is wishing religious organization Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) more strength in pursuing their mission for their members and for the country as it celebrated in 109th founding anniversary on Thursday, July 27.

Marcos is also hoping that the religious group would flourish and remain strong in the coming years as it has served as guiding light for its flock.

"Kaisa ng sambayanang Pilipino, binabati ko ang bawat Kapatid ng Iglesia Ni Cristo sa pagdiriwang ng inyong ika-109 na Anibersaryo ng Pagkakatatag (Together with the Filipino people, I congratulate every brothers and sisters from Iglesia Ni Cristo on their celebration of their 109th Foundation Anniversary)," the President said in his message.

"Nawa'y sa selebrasyong ito, higit pang tumibay ang inyong pagkakaisa sa pananalangin at pagkilos tungo sa katuparan ng inyong mga layunin at mithiin para sa inyong simbahan at sa buong sambayanan (May this celebration strengthen your faith and action towards the fulfillment of your goals and aspirations for your church and the entire nation)," he added.

According to Malacañang, Marcos is also glad that the group, its ministers and its members have been religiously sharing their faith and teaching not only through evangelization but also through charitable acts.

"Gawin ninyong bukal ng lakas at inspirasyon ang mga aral na iniwan ni Hesus. Ipagdasal po ninyo ang ating bansa at kapwa mga Pilipino na patuloy na pagpalain ng Panginoon at bigyan ng sapat na lakas upang harapin ang mga hamon ng bukas (Let Jesus' teachings be your source of strength and inspiration. Pray for our country and your fellow Filipinos that the Lord will continue blessing and giving us enough strength to face the challenges of tomorrow," he said.

Marcos said he hopes that INC will continue to be the government's partner in pushing for a progressive, peaceful, and united Philippines.
