The distribution in the city's barangays started on July 21, and will last until July 29.
The city government said it is aiming for 64,460 seniors to get their gift packs.
It added that 11,854 senior citizens got their packs on the first day of distribution while over 23,600 are expected to claim their gifts until Saturday.
It also said that weeks prior to the launch, the "Pasko sa Hulyo" program engaged in a door-to-door delivery system for the distribution of vouchers to every household with eligible senior citizens.
The beneficiaries of the program were senior citizens registered with the Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) on or before May 15, 2023, and residents of Valenzuela City, the local government said.
They should bring their OSCA identification cards and claim stubs to get the gift packs.
Their gifts may also be given to a relative as long as they have an authorization letter allowing their family member to claim the pack.
Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie "Wes" Gatchalian had earlier expressed how the city faithfully goes above and beyond its goal of prioritizing the welfare of the Pamilyang Valenzuelano senior citizens.
He said that they partnered with the farmers in Isabela for the rice given to the senior citizens.
