Marcos did not go back to the country together with the entire Philippine delegation to Malaysia as he had to meet the Sultan of Johor on Thursday afternoon, July 27.

The President said he had to push through with the meeting to ensure a continuous and smooth transition in advancing the Philippines' agenda and deals with Malaysia.

"The last part of the trip will be a visit to the Sultan of Johor to meet with him dahil siya yung susunod na hari para naman magawa natin nang tuloy tuloy kung ano napag usapan natin ng hari dito, ni Prime Minister Anwar (because he will be the next King so that we can continuously execute what we have discussed with the King, and also with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim)," Marcos told reporters in a post-state visit briefing in Kuala Lumpur.

"E, lahat yun sana maging tuloy tuloy (We are hoping that all of it will carry on) so that's the reason for that," he added.

The President was in Malaysia for roughly three days to revitalize the Philippines' dealings with the country and explore new areas of cooperation.

He met with Malaysian King Al-Sultan Abdullah during his visit. They reaffirmed to further strengthen their long-standing ties and agreed to expand their collaboration and partnership in the new and emerging areas.
