All airports in the country are fully-operational except for the Laoag City airport in Ilocos Norte which sustained minor damage due to the the strong winds and heavy rains unleashed by typhoon "Egay", the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP)  said on Thursday, July 27.
CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio said the operation of the Laoag International Airport is suspended until Friday, July 28, to give way for the repair of some of the damage.
"This is to ensure the safety of our passengers," said Apolonio.
Citing CAAP data, Apolonio said there were operations suspensions in some of the airports due to bad weather condition.
Among the airports affected were the Vigan Airport, Baguio Airport, Lingayin Airport, Rosales Airport, San Fernando, Tuguegarao Airport and four other aiports in Northern Luzon.
