3 Southern Luzon State U professors struck by utility jeepney die


TIAONG, Quezon – Three professors of the Southern Luzon State University here died after they were struck by a utility jeepney in Barangay Lagalag, this town, on Wednesday night, July 26.
 
Police identified the fatalities as Cheryl Baracael Bundalian, 27, of Dolores, Quezon; Rosie Campus Dulay, 62, of Sampaloc, Quezon; and Salvo Ocampo Salvacion, 30, of Adelina Subdivision, Barangay Lagalag. 
 
Investigation said the victims had just left a meeting and were crossing a pedestrian lane in front of the university when they were bumped by the vehicle driven by Zaldy Mosquera, 63, of San Pablo City, Laguna.
 
Bundalian was taken to the Peter Paul Medical Hospital in Candelaria, Quezon where she was declared dead.  Dulay was brought to the Candelaria United Doctor's Hospital where she died. 
 
Salvacion was also declared dead at Peter Paul Medical Hospital while being treated on Thursday morning, July 27.
 
Police arrested Mosquera who was subjected to mandatory alcohol and chemical testing in accordance with Republic Act (RA) 10586 or the Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Act of 2013.
 
Suspect faces multiple homicide and serious physical injury charges.
