Kim grateful to be a Kapamilya, signs anew with ABS-CBN

Multimedia Idol Kim Chiu signed an exclusive contract anew with ABS-CBN, reaffirming her commitment to her home network for the last 17 years. 

"I started without having anything in my hand and in my pocket. I didn't know how to sing, dance, act, and even to host kasi masakit ako sa tenga magsalita," she recalled at the "Keep Shining: The Kim Chiu Network Contract Signing." "But I'm here living my dream." 

The "It's Showtime" host also looked back on how her life has changed through her Kapamilya journey, which started when she was named big winner in "Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 1" in 2006.   

"Dahil dito sa ABS-CBN, naging maayos yung buhay namin. Hindi lang pangarap ko 'yung natupad pati ng mga kapatid ko. I'm just grateful and very blessed. I'm just giving back everything to my home network, ABS-CBN because tinulungan nila ako nung walang-wala ako kaya kailangan nila ng tulong ko and I'm here. I'll always be here and I'll always be a Kapamilya," she added.

Joining her at the contract signing were ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez, ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN COO of broadcast Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN head of TV Production and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, and Star Magic's Edith Fariñas.

Following the contract signing event, Kim shared that her fans should watch out for her upcoming projects aside from her hit Prime video series "Fit Check" and Dreamscape series, "Linlang" with Paulo Avelino and JM de Guzman. 

Through the years, Kim has captured the hearts of Kapamilyas for her charm, charisma, and acting prowess, which made her one of the country's bankable stars. Some of her notable works include "Sana Maulit Muli, "My Girl," "Tayong Dalawa," "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin," "My Binondo Girl," "Love Thy Woman," and Star Cinema films "Till My Heartaches End," "Bride For Rent," 'Etiquette for Mistresses," "The Ghost Bride" and a lot more. Aside from "It's Showtime," she is also a mainstay of "ASAP Natin 'To."
