TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Typhoon “Egay” has affected 4,925 families or 16,031 individuals from 22 towns in this province as of Wednesday, July 26.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) said 3,580 families or 11,532 individuals are staying in evacuation centers while the others are temporarily with their relatives.
The Nattallag Overflow Bridge, Barangay Sisim Bridge, Sisim Detour Bridge, Sisim to Bugatay Bridge, and Barangay San Roque-Sisim Bridge in Peñablanca as well as the Bagunot Overflow Bridge and San Isidro-Taytay Bridge in Baggao remain impassable.
A landslide was recorded in Temblique, Baggao, destroying the kitchen of a house.
A soil erosion occurred in Barangay Centro Norte, Gattaran.
No one was injured in these incidents.
The Provincial DRRM Council continues to monitor the impact of Egay in Cagayan.
