Serving as an undercard match to an equally appetizing main event featuring welterweight kings Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford, Donaire guns to become the oldest boxer to win a bantamweight crown at age 40. Blocking his way is Santiago, whose recent attempt for a championship belt ended in a split-decision draw against Filipino Jerwin Ancajas in 2018. Donaire, who carries a record of 42 wins (28 knockouts) against seven losses, last saw action in a rematch against Japanese great Naoya Inoue last year where he dropped a second round TKO loss. Santiago, meanwhile, has a 27-3 record under his name. He last fought Antonio Nieves and won via TKO.
