P523,068 shabu seized in Caraga anti-crime drive

BUTUAN CITY â€“ The Police Regional Office-13 seized P523,068 worth of suspected shabu in the week-long Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) in the Caraga region from July 19 to 23. The PRO-13 Regional Operations Division (ROD) said the Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office (PPO) confiscated 7.4 grams of shabu valued at P50,320 from four individuals while Agusan del Sur PPO seized 4.32 grams of shabu worth P29,376 from five persons. Surigao del Norte PPO arrested two suspects for possession of 7.5 grams of shabu worth P51,000, Surigao del Sur PPO seized 12.4117 grams of shabu valued at P84,400 from four individuals; seven drug personalities were arrested by the Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) which seized 30.29 grams of shabu worth P205,972, while the Regional Intelligence Division-13 seized 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000Â from a drug suspect. Personnel of the operating units were commended for the successful conduct of four-day SACLEO that seized a total of 76.4217 grams of shabu and apprehended 23 drug suspects. On Monday, July 24, two high-value individuals were nabbed for possession of 26 grams of shabu worth P176,800, one caliber .380 pistol, and other drug paraphernalia; and another drug pusher for possession of 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000, one caliber .380 pistol, and other drug paraphernalia. Suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, PRO-13 Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said.
