LTO-7 services caravan underway in Bohol

CEBU CITY — The Land Transportation Office-Central Visayas (LTO-7) is holding a caravan of services in Bohol province.

LTO-7 regional director Glen Galario has issued an order for the conduct of a driver's education program focusing on theoretical driving course in four municipalities in Bohol.

The caravan of services will he held  in Ubay on July 24 to 25, Guindulman on July 26 to 27, Valencia on July 31 to August 1, and Bilar on August 2 to 3.

The caravan is being conducted upon the request of Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado.

Aumentado made the request when the LTO-7 was still headed by Victor Caindec.

Caindec was replaced by Galario last June.

The governor made the request last May shortly after the LTO-7 conducted a five-day random roadworthiness inspection in various areas in Bohol.

The random road inspections led to at least 400 apprehensions in Tagbilaran City and the municipalities of Loon, Baclayon, Alburquerque, Jagna, Dauis, Panglao, Danao, and Talibon.

Among the violations committed during the apprehensions were driving without a valid license and driving an unregistered vehicle or with an expired registration.

Aumentado asked Boholanos to take advantage of LTO-7 caravan of services.

“You can contact the LTO in Bohol for more information. This is now your chance to secure driver’s licenses with more ease,” said Aumentado.
