Marcos says he wanted to report more in SONA

Asked by reporters after delivering his 70-minute speech if he was satisfied with it, the President said, “Kulang pa (It’s lacking).” While he did not elaborate on what more he would’ve wanted to report in his SONA, he said that he’ll leave it to his Cabinet secretaries. “There was so much to go through,” the Chief Executive, who was applauded 68 times during his SONA on Monday, July 24, added. Details of his policies will be expounded further by his Cabinet secretaries, Marcos furthered. The President delivered his second SONA at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City where he reported about his administration’s achievements and plans for the future. This was attended by members of Congress and his Cabinet, the diplomatic community, media, and other guests. He also listed his priority legislations, including the Blue Economy Law, Ease of Doing Taxes, VAT on digital services, and reforms in military and uniformed personnel pension, among others.
