A total of 414 passengers were stranded at the North Port Terminal in North Harbor, Tondo, Manila on Tuesday, July 25, due to inclement weather brought about by super typhoon "Egay."

According to the port management, more trips were canceled after the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) declared on Tuesday morning that Egay has developed into a super typhoon.

It urged travelers to return to their homes to wait for the resumption of operation. However, most passengers to decided to wait out the storm at the port due to budget constraints.

According to them, they have been stranded in the terminal for a day.

They claimed that there will be nothing left of their fare if they go back and forth to the terminal.

The stranded travelers were bound for North Luzon and Visayas.
