30 PRO-13 officers, personnel feted

BUTUAN CITY – Thirty Police Regional Office-13 police officers and personnel were awarded medals for their exemplary performance in Camp Rodriguez here on Monday, July 24.

Fifteen received the Medalya ng Kagalingan and 15 the Medalya ng Papuri. Nine personnel of the Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur Municipal Police Station (MPS) headed by Police Lt. Col. Wilson M. Corpuz received the Medalya ng Kagalingan while six others were awarded the Medalya ng Papuri for the arrest of the Top 3 Most Wanted Person in the Caraga region charged with murder and double frustrated murder. Six personnel of the Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte MPS headed by the PoliceCapt. Aurel S. Lumasag were recipients of the Medalya ng Kagalingan while eight others were awarded with the Medalya ng Papuri for the arrest of Top 7 MWP in Agusan del Norte for statutory rape. The Medalya ng Papuri was given to Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP) Jonessa F. Oronan for demonstrating efficiency, loyalty, and dedication in her 18 years and 10 months as Payslip Focal Person of the Regional Finance Service Office (RFSO)-13. The PRO-13 command group encouraged all police personnel to create interactions with the community that can profoundly impact lives and treat the people with respect and dignity regardless of their status quo. "Every day, we have a chance to lend a helping hand and offer a listening ear. Whether it's a reassuring smile, a simple act of kindness, or an act of bravery in the face of danger, every action can touch someone's life in a simple way," said PRO-13 Director Kirby John B. Kraft.
