Why Barbie Forteza walked the red carpet solo at this year's GMA Gala

Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza not walking the red carpet with boyfriend of six years Jak Roberto at the recent GMA Gala has sparked rumors.
But Barbie has an explanation for it.
On Twitter, she borrowed a line from Taylor Swift's "Bejeweled:" “What’s a girl gonna do? A diamond’s gotta shine.” Also, in an interview with MEGA Entertainment, Barbie gave a short answer when asked about it. She said, “Why not? Because I can, honey!”
Barbie took home a special award that night, the Avignon Radiant Beauty of The Night Award. For months now, Barbie has making headlines with her onscreen pairing with David Licauco via "Maria Clara At Ibarra" a huge hit among fans.
In fact, Barbie was even asked by a fan to choose between love or career, amid netizens shipping FiLay.
Meanwhile, despite pressure that some fans are hoping he and Barbie will end up together in real life, David has nothing but respect for the couple's relationship. Recently, he even reiterated his two cents about it.
