Newport World Resorts proudly celebrates Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino with nightly live entertainment

For the love of OPM, the country’s premier lifestyle and entertainment destination aims the spotlight on the cherished genre and artists for an exclusive celebration of Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino with support from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).  From rock bands to high-energy soloists, Newport World Resorts presents a roster of local artists serving up spectacular performances on the stage. Filipino music fans and lovers can jam and enjoy some of OPM’s finest acts performing at their home stages: Bar 360, The Grand Bar and Lounge, and El Calle Food and Music Hall. The Bar 360 stage will be filled with acts of OPM greatness each night of the week. On July 27 at 10:45 PM, Mitoy Yonting and The Draybers are set to captivate the crowd with their amazing covers of classic rock hits.  
Reserve more energy for Thursday night as Oeuvre performs at 8:30 PM while DJ Edz Mabini pumps up the night with pulsating beats at 1 AM. Seize Friday night out with lively sets from Tirso Cruz IV and The TAC 4 slated at 9 PM, Jo & The Holy Notes at 11:15 PM, and DJ Eera Amor at 1:15 AM.  Say cheers to more Saturday performances from Switchback at 9 PM, In Heat at 11:15 PM, and DJ Thea Moore at 1:15 AM. On Sunday, Zyncxation center stage at 8:15 PM followed by DJ Miles Mallow at 11:15 PM. There is nothing quite like listening to homegrown music in The Grand Bar and Lounge. On Tuesday, choose to spend a sweet evening with legendary OPM band Side A slated to serenade at 9:15 PM, while Wednesday is all about jamming to unforgettable anthems from MYMP at 9:30 PM.  
On Thursday, feel the week-long hype with Hyperbeat at 9:15 PM. Dance to the beat of the best ballroom hits from highly-entertaining performers Spirit at Friday, 9:15 PM. Also fueling up the weekend are Soul Republiq at 8 PM and Red Rocks on Saturday at 10:30 PM. Judith Banal and The Power Play Band wrap up weekend entertainment on Sunday at 9:15 PM. Get ready for an acoustic fest at El Calle Food and Music Hall. Gracing the stage on July 27 at 10:15 PM is Rox Puno. With his distinct voice and cool style, he carves out his own niche in the music scene by playing his originals, as well as covers of well-loved acoustic classics and current hits. Thursday is a night of serenade with Dom Rodriguez at 8 PM.  Don’t miss out on the soulful Friday jamming brought by Musica scheduled at 8 PM and Julia Serad at 10:15 PM. Junno and Cass consecutively set a fantastic Saturday mood at 8 PM and 10:15 PM. By Sunday, be the star at the El Calle stage and grab the mic for Karaoke Night on Sunday starting at 7 PM.
