Laoag Int’l Airport cancels flights as ‘Egay’ approaches


LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte – The Laoag International Airport (LIA) has cancelled domestic flights from July 25 to 26 as typhoon “Egay” approached the country.

LIA Manager Ronald Estabillo said this is to ensure the safety of travelers from the tropical cyclone.

Estabillo said Philippine Airlines flights PR 2198 and 2199 Manila-Laoag-Manila on Tuesday, July 25, are canceled.

Also cancelled were PAL flights PR 2196 and PR 2197 Manila-Laoag-Manila the following day.

Estabillo advised affected passengers to rebook their flights as soon as possible.
