Iloilo City lone district Rep. Julienne "Jam" Baronda shared to House reporters on Monday night, July 24 what could be called her "before and after SONA" selfies with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. Marcos on Monday delivered his 70-minute long State of the Nation Address (SONA) before a joint session at the plenary hall of the House of Representatives. But before Marcos could reach the plenary hall's rostrum, Baronda charmed her way into snapping a quick selfie with the Chief Executive. She was the only person to get a pre-speech selfie with Marcos, based on the broadcast of the SONA. After the speech, the lady solon was able to get another selfie with Marcos, although by that time it was just one of many.

"We would like to commend His Excellency, Pres. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., for his straightforward and candid portrayal of the state of the nation and the strides taken by his administration since ascending into office only a year ago," Baronda said. She said the President "accurately and vividly painted the realities and challenges faced by the Filipino people" in his second SONA. Baronda said Marcos was also able to present "the goals and targets of his administration, and the decisive steps thus far taken by the government towards achieving our dreams and aspirations for a Bagong Pilipinas".
