TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The provincial government has activated the Incident Management Team (IMT) in preparation for typhoon “Egay.”
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) formed the unit effective 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 23, based on Memorandum Order No. 131, Series of 2023, signed by Rueli Rapsing, PDRRMO officer-in-charge, as Egay approached the country from the east.
Rod Rhayan Bagasin was named incident commander and will lead the monitoring of areas that may be affected by the typhoon.
An Incident Command Post (ICP) has been established at the PDRRMO office in Sub-Capitol Bangag, Lal-lo, this province, where the IMT is operational round-the-clock to ensure public safety from Egay.
The provincial government said all floating assets and rescue vehicles are ready. Responders are also on standby, including the seven stations of the Task Force Lingkod Cagayan (TLFC).
