LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police arrested 63 wanted persons, including 13 most wanted personalities, in manhunt operations in the Cordillera region from July 16 to 22.
The Police Regional Office Cordillera-Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) said the Baguio City Police Office arrested 18, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office with 16, Kalinga PPO with nine, Ifugao PPO with six, Abra PPO and Mountain Province PPO with five, and Apayao PPO with four.
Of the 13 Most Wanted Persons (MWP), five were regional level, three were provincial level, two were on the city and municipal levels, and one on the station level.
Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., PRO-Cordillera director, said due to intensified police presence, 57 towns in the region and three police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in 23 out of the 27 towns in Abra, six out of seven in Apayao, seven out of 13 in Benguet, five out of seven in Kalinga, eight out of 11 in Ifugao, and eight out of 10 in Mountain Province.
Of the 10 police stations in Baguio, Station 2 (Camdas), 4 (Loakan), and 6 (Aurora Hill) recorded zero crime incidents.
