P408,000 shabu seized in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – Police seized 60 grams of suspected shabu worth P408,000 from a former drug offender in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 40 here on Saturday, July 22. The suspect was identified as Jude Villarmino, 48. Police Capt. Dax Santillan, head of Police Station 6, said the suspect was released from jail after serving his sentence for a drug offense. He was monitored by the police to check if he indeed stopped engaging in the illegal drugs trade, Santillan said. Santillan said they received reports from concerned citizens about the suspect’s illegal drug activity in the barangay, prompting them to verify and launch the operation. Suspect yielded the P500 marked money and P10,000 boodle money. Villarmino is a high-value individual, according to Santillan, due to the volume of the drug recovery.
