Over P390k shabu seized in Pasig, Mandaluyong drug busts
The Pasig City Police Station-Station Drug Enforcement Unit (CPS-SDEU) and the Mandaluyong CPS seized a combined total of P393,040 worth of illegal drugs in separate buy-bust operations in their cities, authorities reported on Saturday, July 22.
The Pasig CPS identified the two suspects in the Pasig drug operation as "Bato", 19; and "Michael", 38.
The two suspects were arrested during a buy-bust operation by SDEU at ROTC Street, Barangay Rosario, Pasig City at around 11:10 p.m. on Friday, July 21.
Confiscated from the suspects were 35 grams of suspected shabu worth P238,000 placed in 10 plastic sachets, and a fake P1,000 bill as boodle money.
Meanwhile, the Mandaluyong CPS-SDEU identified the two suspects in the Mandaluyong buy-bust operation as John Rick Cruz, and "Alvin".
The suspects were arrested at Busilak Street, Barangay Barangka Drive, Mandaluyong City at around 3:50 a.m. on Saturday, July 22.
The suspects were nabbed after a poseur buyer and an informant successfully bought drugs from "Alvin" in exchange for P500.
Before the signal was given to arrest "Alvin", Cruz arrived in the area and showed "Alvin" a sachet of suspected shabu.
Police recovered the 0.3-gram suspected shabu as the subject of sale, worth P2,040; two pieces of plastic sachets with 20 grams of shabu worth P136,000 from "Alvin"; and 2.5 grams of shabu inside a plastic sachet worth P17,000 from Cruz.
The suspects are detained at the Pasig and Mandaluyong custodial facilities respectively.
All suspects were referred to the Eastern Police District (EPD) in Mandaluyong City for a drug test and laboratory exam.
The four men will be charged for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.
