Las Piñas suspends number coding scheme due to transport strike

The Las Piñas city government suspended the expanded number coding scheme on Monday, July 24 due to the transport strike by the transportation group. Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the suspension of the expanded number coding scheme will be implemented temporary to ease transportation concerns for the commuting public during the strike. Aguilar said the expanded number coding scheme typically restricts the movement of vehicles based on their license plates to ease traffic on the road. As the city lifts the number coding scheme on Monday, the city will allow all vehicles to travel freely within Las Piñas. The mayor added that the temporary measure is expected to alleviate the potential inconveniences caused by the transport strike in the neighboring areas.
