From wearing Barong Tagalog, performing to playing games, K-pop idol group Super Junior had a memorable night with Filipino fans.
Leeteuk, Kyuhyun, Siwon, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Shindong, Yesung and Ryeowook held their “2023 Super Junior Fan Party in Manila” on July 21 at the Araneta Coliseum, a mix of a fan meeting and a concert.

This marked Super Junior’s return to the country. Last December, they held their iconic “Super Show 9: Road” concert tour in Manila.
Super Junior debuted in November 2005 and is one of the K-pop groups with long-lasting careers. They will be celebrating their 18th anniversary this year.
“It’s like we are seeing [each other] much often, right? I think it’s better,” said Shindong.
Ryeowook said, “How have you been? Actually I was worried because there was a heavy rain but you guys actually came. Did you guys miss us?
“Masaya ako (I am happy). I actually feel good watching your faces,” said Donghae.
Yesung told the crowd, “Na-miss ko kayo (I missed you). It’s not been a long time since we last saw each other but I missed you guys so much.”
“What a glorious night,” said Siwon. “We missed you so much. Our lives [are] always going with a challenge, isn’t it? No challenge, no change.”
Kyuhyun said, “Today, I’m really, really so happy,” while Eunhyuk said, “It’s so nice to meet you again. We actually came to see you guys more often. If it’s okay with you, we want to come here more often.”
“Na-miss ko kayo. Masaya ako (I missed you. I am happy),” said Leeteuk.
From “Super” to “Miracle” and games
Super Junior performed some of their hit songs during the fan party in Manila.
They opened the show with “Super,” “Mr. Simple” and “Black Suit” followed by “Everyday,” “My Wish” and “Callin.’”
They also performed “House Party,” “Devil,” “2YA2YAO,” “Sorry Sorry,” “Bonamana,” “More Days With You” and ending it with the classic track “Miracle.”

Super Junior played four games during the fan party: Memory dance competition, guess the object with eyes closed, 1-second K-pop and cash run. They were given gifts as prizes.
In “guess the object with eyes closed” game, Shindong and Donghae needed to identify objects through touch. The objects were a Super Junior light stick, slippers, dragon fruit, Eunhyuk’s hand and celery. As prizes, Shindong got a chocolate watch and Donghae received an “engkanto set.”
Kyuhyun and Eunhyuk played the “1-second K-pop” game where they had to guess the singer and the song. These were (G)-IDLE”s “Queencard,” Seventeen’s “Super,” NewJeans’ “Hype Boy” and Le Sserafim’s “Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard’s wife.”
As prizes, Kyuhyun got a Barong Tagalog, a traditional Filipino men’s wear, and wore it on stage. Eunhyuk received as ginseng set.
Siwon and Leeteuk played the cash run wherein they had to count the number of bills while walking. Ryeowook and Yesung played the memory dance game.

Super Junior members were presented with a fan video that paid tribute to their career and the fans’ promise to keep on supporting them.
"No matter how long and no matter how hard, we will not let go of your hands. We have a lot of memories to look back on and an entire future to look forward to. We will never fear of growing old because we know we'll all grow old together,” the Pinoy fans stated in the video.
Shindong revealed that after the concert, they would be going to Cebu.
“Actually we are going to finish the concert and in the morning, we are going to Cebu to have a vacation,” he said.
“Thank you so much for coming. We’ll come back as soon as possible,” said Ryeowook.
Donghae said, “I’m so happy I could make good memories with you. I’ll come visit here once again. Please wait for us.”
“I feel so happy that we are seeing each other more often,” said Yesung.
Siwon said, “We had a great time. The Philippines is always a great country, great city with great people. So we’ll see you soon in the Philippines. Don’t worry, be happy. Stay strong.”
“I’m so, so very happy. See you soon. Mahal kita (I love you),” said Kyuhyun.
Eunhyuk said, “You guys are forever in my heart. Thank you. Love you all.”
“There are many ELFs who are worried. We had a talk until late night. I said I will never let go,” said Leeteuk.
Before Super Junior's fan party in Manila, it was announced that Eunhyuk, Donghae and Kyuhyun did not renew their contracts with their agency, SM Entertainment, but will stay in Super Junior.
“And the fans over there are saying they will protect us,” he added, pointing to a banner in the venue. “Ten SuJu, 20 Suju, 30 Suju, 40 SuJu. All of them are all SuJu. You are forever ELFs [Super Junior fans].”
