Royse Tubino powered PLDT to boost its semifinals drive after making light work of F2 Logistics, 25-21, 25-19, 25-18, in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference on Saturday, July 22, at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.Â
The High Speed Hitters bounced back from their similar straight-set loss to the Cignal HD Spikers and improved 1-2 in the carryover semis standings.Â
Tubino led all scorers with 20 points built on 18 attacks, one block and one service ace which were enough to stun the Cargo Movers all on her own.Â
F2 Logistics, on the other hand, absorbed its back-to-back losses and slid 1-2 in the standings, carrying over a lone win against Cignal from the elimination round.Â
The Cargo Movers opened their semis campaign with a painful five-set loss to defending champion Creamline Cool Smashers a few days ago.Â
Myla Pablo was the lone bright spot for the Cargo Movers as the rest of the team were held to a single-digit production.Â
In the final classification match of the mid-year conference, Caitlin Viray dropped a career best to help Choco Mucho finish in seventh place with a  25-20, 26-24, 25-15 rout of Chery Tiggo.Â
This time, it was Viray who top-scored for the Flying Titans with 22 points on 17 attacks, three blocks and two service aces while Sisi Rondina contributed 15 points highlighted by 14 attacks.Â
The eight-ranked Crossovers were paced by the trio of Mylene Paat, Pualine Gaston and Eya Laure in the losing effort.Â
Meanwhile, the Cool Smashers eye to stay unbeaten as they face Cignal at press time.Â
Debuting foreign clubs teams Kinh Bac-Bac Ninh of Vietnam and Kurashiki Ablaze of Japan are also set to lock horns in the main serving of the quadruple header.Â
