Mimaropa cops, community partners launch PNP Help and Food Bank

The Police Regional Office 4B launched on Saturday, July 22, a community assistance program that will serve as its main platform for humanitarian assistance to individuals and families in need in times of calamities.

Dubbed as the PNP Help and Food Bank, PRO4B Police Brig. Gen. Joel Doria said the project is aimed at solidifying the PNP's dedication to public service by ensuring the continuity of public rapport through community engagement.

The activity was attended by 16 Community Partners in Oriental Mindoro.

“The PNP Help and Food Bank will serve as a platform for the PNP to extend humanitarian assistance to individuals and families in need in times of calamities and life-challenging circumstances,” said Doria.

"To our generous stakeholders, I extend my deepest appreciation for your invaluable support and donations to the PNP Help and Food Bank. Your selfless acts of kindness have made a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. Your unwavering support fuels our determination to serve with integrity and compassion," he added.

The PRO4B, which has jurisdiction over the provinces of Oriental and Occidenal Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan, (Mimaropa) has been at the forefront of assisting local residents in need.

The assistance includes multi-million peso worth of assistance to the families affected by the oil spill, a large part of them came from donations of local policemen; building houses of homeless residents, feeding program, and medical assistance.

Doria said the program is part of the Grand Police Community Relations Day Celebration.

During the event, Doria, together with the members of PRO PRO4B Command Group, facilitated the ceremonial turnover of donated items, including the giving of certificates of appreciation and tokens to community partners.

Doria then encouraged the stakeholders and the PNP personnel to continue forging stronger collaborations and foster community support in the peacekeeping and public safety programs of the PNP.

"As we celebrate this momentous occasion, let us remember the profound impact that strong police-community relations have on the very fabric of our society. Through these deep-rooted connections, we pave the way for a brighter, more promising future for generations to come. Together, let us forge ahead, inspired by the power of unity and driven by the unwavering spirit of service,” said Doria.

"May our collective journey inspire, uplift, and transform lives. With your unwavering support and the Philippine National Police standing as the vanguard of justice, peace, and prosperity in the MIMAROPA region, I am confident that together, we will create a society where safety, peace, and progress reign supreme," he added.
