Taguig, Pasig LGUs sign agreement on tricycle transport
Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano and Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto signed a memorandum of agreement on July 20 allowing tricycles to transport passengers between the two cities.
The agreement was signed at the boundary of Taguig and Pasig on T. Rayos Street in Taguig and Visitacion Street in Pasig.

Under the agreement, the Taguig City government will allow tricycles from Pasig to transport passengers from the city to select drop-off areas in Taguig. These are the Taguig City hall, Barangay Ususan, Barangay Napindan, Tipas, Barangay Tuktukan and Barangay Bambang. Tricycles in Taguig will be allowed to transport passengers to Pasig in Barangay Buting, Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish, Kalawaan, Pasig Mega-Market and Meralco-Sagad. The agreement prohibits Taguig tricycles from fetching passengers in Pasig and vice versa. According to Sotto, “Patunay lang po ito na kung magtutulungan po ang iba’t ibang lokal na pamahalaan ay mas magiging maganda po para sa ating mga nasasakupan (This proves that if local governments help one another, this will be beneficial to our constituents).” “Kagaya ho ni Mayor Vico, ipinagpapasalamat natin ang isang magandang halimbawa ng pag-uugnayan ng mga lokal na pamahalaan (Like Mayor Vico, we are thankful for a good example of coordination of local governments),” said Cayetano. The agreement aims to prevent passengers from transferring from one public utility vehicle to another and paying higher fares.
