LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Two drug pushers were arrested and 18.5 grams of suspected shabu worth P377,000 was seized in a buy-bust operation in Purok Narra, Barangay Isabang, this city, on Thursday, July 20.
Quezon police director Police Col. Ledon Monte identified the suspects as Relly Nave, 47, and Aldrin Tibay, 33, residents of Purok Narra.
Monte, in a report to Police Regional Office 4-A chief Police Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces, said the suspects were apprehended by the City Drug Enforcement Unit backed up by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)- Quezon and various police units following validated reports of their involvement in the illegal drugs trade.
The duo listed by the police as street-level individuals also yielded cellular phones and marked money.
Suspects are temporarily detained at the Lucena City Police Station and cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspects.
