CAMP Aquino, Tarlac City – The Armed Forces-Northern Luzon Command has vowed to ensure the safety and security of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s State-of-the-Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, July 24.
"We're fully committed to delivering a secure environment for the upcoming PBBM's SONA," said Nolcom commander Lt. Gen. Fernyl G. Buca.
Buca said Nolcom has started coordinating with various law enforcement agencies and local government units for a comprehensive security plan for the annual presidential address.
He appealed to citizens to expresses their sentiments on the SONA through peaceful protests and rallies.
“Exercise responsibility and prioritize public safety. It is a delicate balance between upholding freedom of speech and ensuring that these expressions of dissent do not escalate into violence or chaos,” Buca said.
