* DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan revealed this as he led the topping-off ceremony at the new Senate Building Project in Navy Village, Fort Bonifacio on Thursday, July 20. Bonoan said the ceremony signified a "key milestone" since the highest structural component for the infrastructure has finally been installed. “Today's ceremony signifies the nearing completion of this iconic new Senate Building that will provide a conducive work environment and bolster the productivity of our lawmakers and their staff,” he noted. The P8.6 billion project is being built within an area of 18,230 square meters. It has four towers with 11 floors each, and three basements with a minimum of 1,200 parking spaces. The structure embodies the Senate's "Bagong Senado sa Ika-Dalawang Siglo" concept, which aims to provide a green, secure, practical, and iconic workplace for the next generations of senators and their employees.
