Loisa Andalio, Ronnie Alonte not yet ready for sexy roles

Despite being in showbiz for almost a decade now, reel and real life couple Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte still don't see themselves doing sensual scenes.

In a recent interview with Bulletin Entertainment, the two admitted they're "not yet ready" for such.

In fact, they revealed how they actually turned down projects requiring them to get down and dirty, so to speak.

"Nu'ng napanuod namin: 'Dapat tayo yun, pero parang hindi nga. Hindi pa natin kaya,'" was how she put it.

She added how she could actually hear her parents say, "May kinakain pa naman tayo three times a day, anak!"

As for Ronnie, he said: "Ayoko talaga kasi madami naman pwedeng gawin na character or story na di naman kailangan umabot pa sa ganu'n. Tsaka hindi ko talaga kaya."

if anything, the two are doing "mature" roles in the TV series "Pira-Pirasong Paraiso."

In there, Loisa will be playing the role of Baby, a con artist, while Ronnie will be the policeman, Jonaf.

According to the two, it was actually a challenge for them to portray their respective characters.

They recalled series director Raymund Ocampo telling them how he still could see their previous characters in their performance.

"Lagi akong sinasabihan ni Direk Raymund na: 'Ay, nakikita ko sayo si Jane sa 'Love in 40 Days.' May mga ganu'n talaga na: 'Paano ko gagawin na hindi niya makikita yung dating character na ginawa ko?' So yun yung mahirap du'n."

Ronnie would also hear the same pointers, but the challenge for him was to give justice to his character as a man in uniform.

"Yung tindig ng police na matikas, mahirap siya. Hindi madali."

So for reference, Ronnie approached friends in the force.

"Nu'ng first nahirapan talaga ako, hanggang ngayon naman; the way paano sila makipag-usap, tumayo, tindig. Pero nakukuha ko naman siya kahit mahirap."

Becoming a policeman in real life is far from ronnie's mind.

He once dreamed of becoming a lawyer or seaman but he has since changed his mnd about it, relating, "Ayoko pala sumakay ng barko kasi mahirap. Ayoko ng mag-abogado kasi masakit sa ulo. Okay na ako."

On the other hand, Loisa talked about the relationship she was able to build with Epy Quizon, who plays his father in the teleserye.

"Sobrang nakaka-starstruck," said Loisa, who noted how she was able to watch the seasoned actor on "Lastikman."

"Takot na takot ako sa kanya nu'ng bata ako. Kaya ngayon na-i-is-starstruck ako tuwing ka eksena ko siya... Ang galing-galing nila, silang dalawa ni Ms. Shine (Sunshine Dizon)."

Ronnie also shared moments with Epy, off-cam.

"Nakakatuwa si Tito Epy kasi ang hilig niyang magkwento ng mga boy bastos jokes. Ma-kwento siya, yun yung bonding namin sa tent."

"Pira-Pirasong Paraiso" will air starting July 25 at 3 p.m. and will have Saturday episodes at 2:30 p.m.

Also in the cast are Charlie Dizon, Alexa Ilacad, Elisse Joson, KD Estrada, and Joseph Marco.

The show is the first collaboration between ABS-CBN and TV5.
