ALV Pageant Circle clears the air relating Herlene Budol's Miss Philippines Tourism title
ALV Pageant Circle, the organization behind Miss Grand Philippines 2023, has set things straight relating Herlene Budol as Miss Philippines Tourism 2023.
In a statement, the organization clarified that they are yet to issue an official confirmation regarding Herlene's participation in the Miss Tourism World pageant.
"While we acknowledge the achievements of our reigning queen Justine Felizarta as the first runner-up in Miss Tourism World 2022, we would like to clarify that we have since ceased from using the Miss Tourism World Philippines title," they stressed. "Our Miss Philippines Tourism title is a generic title with no contractual obligation to any international pageant. Henceforth, our choice of global pageant may vary year after year, depending on the ideals and visions of the organization." According to ALV Pageant Circle, it has never been their intention to instigate any conflict of interest with their fellow pageant organizers, whom they said they regard with mutual respect. In any case, they assured followers that Herlene will be competing in a different international tourism pageant, which they will announce very soon. Recall that a few days ago, the legal counsel of Hiyas ng Pilipinas released a "Notice to cease and desist." Their statement read: "We would like to inform the parties concerned that all contracts, agreements, covenants, and memorandums made prior to February 18, 2023, including franchise arrangements, are considered null and void. "This includes any franchises that have utilized the tradenames, logos, and music of Hiyas ng Pilipinas and its affiliates including but not limited to Miss Tourism World Philippines, Miss Omninational Philippines, and Miss Summit International Philippines.
"Effective immediately, all previous franchise holders are required to cease the use of the tradenames, logos, music and any intellectual property associated with Hiyas ng Pilipinas in their operations. We kindly request your full and prompt cooperation in this matter. "Otherwise, we will be constrained to file the appropriate legal actions to enforce our rights and seek remedies for incurred damages. "If you wish to explore the possibility of renewing your franchise or any contract upon mutual agreement, we encourage you to reach out to our Executive Secretariat at +63908876 9937 or email us at [email protected]. You may also send us a direct message through our official Facebook page. "Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we strive to maintain the integrity and excellence of Hiyas ng Pilipinas."
