In the Memorandum No. ECLV-23-013 signed by the UPD Chancellor Edgardo Carlo Vistan II, heads of units were given authority to allow their personnel to work from home.
"With the State of the Nation Address (SONA) expected to make travel to and from UP Diliman very difficult on Monday, 24 July 2023, the heads of various units in UP Diliman are authorized to adopt work-from-home arrangements for their personnel on the said day as the circumstances warrant and consistent with the exigencies of the service, " UPD stated. "Offices that are expecting in-person transactions for the day are enjoined to have the minimum number of needed on-site personnel," it added. Meanwhile, personnel under the offices performing "essential functions" like University Health Service (UHS), UP Diliman Police, Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO), Special Services Brigade (SSB), and Campus Maintenance Office (CMO) must report to on-site work. Likewise, the University Council meeting scheduled at 8 a.m. on July 24 will also be "purely" online. *(Sonny Daanoy)*
