The Angels finished the mid-year conference in 10th place with an overall 4-2 record in the standings.

Usual lead scorers Grethcel Soltones and Jonah Sabete both delivered 15 attacks after finishing with 19 and 15 points, respectively.

Aiza Pontillas and Marian Buitre added 10 points apiece to wrap up the Angels’ campaign with a victory.

Christine Soyud and Erika Raagas paced the 10th-ranked Chargers with 19 and 14 points, respectively, as they ended the conference with a lone win in five matches.

In the earlier classification match, Shaya Adorador lifted Foton past Gerflor, 26-24, 13-25, 25-21, 26-24, to wrap up its PVL debut.

The Tornadoes posted their second win as Adorador finished with 22 points built on 17 attacks, two blocks and three service aces.

The Defenders’ balanced scoring went for naught as they settled for 12th place also in their debut.

Likewise, newcomer Farm Fresh Foxies lagged behind in last place.

Meanwhile, the PLDT High Speed Hitters and Cignal HD Spikers open their semifinals bid at the expense of each other at press time while defending champion Creamline Cool Smashers take on the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers next in the main event of the quadruple header.
