G Tongi issues reminder to fans following Lea Salonga's viral video

"Here Lies Love" co-producer G Tongi has a reminder to theatergoers. She posted on social media, "If you want the chance to meet the cast & get your playbills signed, please proceed directly out of the theater to stage door after the show on 53rd street between Broadway and 8th. Maraming maraming salamat po!" Some netizens reacted to the post, commenting: "So are you saying don’t sneak past security, invade the sacred haven of artists, then drop your name to get a picture with Lea?!" G Tongi replied: "Bingo!"
Note that G's name has trended recently along with seasoned thespian Lea Salonga. This, after the former's name was used by a "fan" who requested a photo opportunity with Lea. A video of the incident went viral on social media.
Lea shared on Twitter how she commmunicated with G relating the fans and that the latter told her that she had no idea who they were. "Sooooooo here’s the kicker… the person whose name they were naming as their producer friend has no idea who they are. I asked her, and she’s seen the video (all our producers have, as well as company management, house management and security). She had no idea who they were. I was giving the benefit of the doubt until the moment I heard back from her," Lea tweeted. In a series of tweets, Lea also stressed that the money that the audience pays for a theater/concert ticket does not mean an "all-access." "You pay for that performer’s art, and that’s where it stops. I gotta say, the folks at the stage door have been so incredibly kind, which only makes us (well, me) enthusiastic to say hello and spend the time to talk to them," she pointed out. Lea is co-producer of the show and also part of the cast.
