The debate was attended by potential opinion leaders, entrepreneurs, and gamers, with the theme "Web3: The New Internet - A Debate on Web3 Adoption in the Philippines."
Emy Delfin, Director of The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), highlighted the need for the nation to be at the forefront of the digital revolution, pledging DICT's support in nurturing a Web3 environment that promotes innovation and protects Filipino interests.
The debate also featured respected creatives and entrepreneurs like Dr. Donald Lim, Coach Miranda Miner, Tyrone Bretana, Nathan Senn, Giu Comia, and Ashtley Sandoval, who shared their views on controversial topics regarding the adoption of Web3 in the Philippines.

The debate, themed "Web3: The New Internet - A Debate on Web3 Adoption in the Philippines," commenced with the participation of potential opinion leaders, entrepreneurs, and gamers.
"It is an opportunity for us to position our nation to be at the forefront of the digital revolution leading in innovation, inclusivity, and forward-seeking," stated Emy Delfin, Director of The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
Delfin said the DICT would provide support and leadership to foster a Web3 environment that nurtures innovation while protecting the FIlipinos' interests and affirmed that DICT is committed to ensuring that digital transition is inclusive, equitable, and beneficial to all Filipinos.
Delfin also reminded Filipinos to remain vigilant and proactive in adopting the latest technologies, such as Web3, to maintain momentum as the internet evolves, and so must the nation's digital landscape.
During the debate, esteemed creatives and entrepreneurs, including Dr. Donald Lim from the Philippine Blockchain Council, Coach Miranda Miner of the Global Miranda Miner Group, Tyrone Bretana from Tier One Alliance, Nathan Senn from Hive & DBuzz, content creator Giu Comia, and creativepreneur Ashtley Sandoval shared their stance on controversial topics regarding the adoption of Web3 in the country.
Armed with their expertise, the participants in the debate took turns presenting six statements or questions that delved into the intricacies of Web3. They analyzed different perspectives, contributing to a comprehensive and informed discussion.
Meanwhile, Senn from Hive, Jeffrey Saenz from Bitget, Crypto Pareh from Tekkon, and Jearon Wong from CoinW have also shared their vision and testaments as to what Web3 is all about.
