Man wounded in Tondo shooting; 2 suspects arrested

Two armed men were arrested after stabbing and shooting a man in Tondo, Manila on Wednesday, July 19.
The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the arrested suspects as Jonathan Camangon and CJ Manalo. Their alleged cohort, identified as Arnold alias "Karding Sungkit", is still at large.
According to the victim, Abraham Caruso, he was standing on Osmeña Street near corner Dandan Street in Barangay 116, Tondo, at around 3 a.m. when the three suspects appeared from his behind.
In a closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, the suspects were seen shooting and stabbing Manalo.
The suspects fled after the incident.
Manila police immediately conducted a follow-up operation, which resulted in the arrest of Camangon. Manalo surrendered on Thursday, July 20.
Authorities are still conducting a manhunt operation against Arnold.
Based on the investigation, Manalo and the victim had an argument prior to the incident.
Investigators said illegal drugs may have been the cause of the conflict between the suspects and the victim.
The victim is still under observation at Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center in Tondo.
Police said the suspects will be charged with frustrated murder.
