CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized P32,400 worth of shabu in separate anti-illegal drug operations in the provinces of Abra and Benguet on Wednesday, July 19.
Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., PRO-Cordillera director, identified the suspects as Wilmer Lizardo, 33, a street-level individual, and Jaysie Singwayan, 32, a high-value individual.
Lizardo was arrested in Bucay, Abra after he sold one sachet of suspected shabu worth P5,100 to a poseur-buyer.
Singwayan was apprehended in Buguias, Benguet after he yielded three plastic sachets of suspected shabu valued at P27,336 during the implementation of a search warrant in his residence.
Meanwhile, 200 fully grown marijuana plants worth P40,000 were discovered by the police in a marijuana eradication operation in Sitio Macagang, Kayapa, Bakun, Benguet.
All marijuana plants were uprooted and burned on-site and an investigation was conducted to identify the cultivators.
