Pasay police conducts bloodletting activity, medical mission
The Pasay City police conducted a bloodletting activity and medical mission at the Epifanio Delos Santos Elementary School gym on Sunday, July 2.
According to city police chief, Col. Froilan Uy, the activity was organized by the Community Affair Section, headed by Master Sgt. Leo Aguila, in coordination with the Australian International Eagles Club under its president Russel Poblete and Human Rights Affairs Office Chairperson Jackie Valera.
Blood donations were given by different donors, and blood pressure examinations were done to determine whether a person suffered from high blood or low blood pressure.
He said a blood sugar testing and physical therapy session was also conducted to help those who suffered from stroke, fracture bones and also to children suffering from cerebral palsy and developmental delay.
The city police added that the activity also offered free haircut services to all men, as well as legal counseling and advice.
Uy said they also set-up booths for those who wanted to secure a police clearance. .
The city police chief thanked all those who participated in the event.
