Fetus dumped in irrigation canal in Lucena

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – A five-month-old fetus was found in an irrigation canal in Purok Langka 2, Barangay Mayao Crossing, here, on Saturday morning, July 1. Investigation by the Lucena Police Women and Children’s Protection Desk said a concerned citizen saw the fetus and reported it to the barangay. Barangay Chairman Zosimo Macaraig informed the police who are now are searching for the mother. Police believe that the fetus was dumped after it was aborted. Lawmen are now looking for persons in the area who could give information to this horrific discovery.
