The easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, may bring rain showers or thunderstorms over parts of the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Monday, July 3.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may affect Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Leyte, Southern Leyte, and Bohol.
PAGASA warned of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country may experience warm weather due to partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with a chance of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.
PAGASA warned that severe thunderstorms may cause landslides or flash floods, especially in vulnerable areas.
According to PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina, there is a slim chance that a tropical cyclone will form in the next three days.
As a result, during this time, the country may continue to experience warm and humid weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
