The Ultra Lotto 6/58 winner said his winning digit combination worth P366 million came from a "lucky pick," where a system-generated selection chose the digit combination.

As the 40-year-old winner claimed his jackpot prize last July 6, he told the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) that in his five sets of digit combinations, the fifth one was a "lucky pick." "He bet P100, equivalent to five plays, where he selected four sets of his desired numbers while entrusting the fifth to the lucky pick, a system-generated selection," PCSO stated. The lucky bettor is still undecided as to how he would handle the money. "Pero syempre, unang una, tutulong tayo sa kapwa, magbabahagi tayo dahil alam ko may plano si Lord bakit tayo biniyayaan ng ganito (first of all, we will help others, we will share because I know that God has a plan on blessing us with this [jackpot money])," he said. "Hindi ko pa alam sa ngayon kung paano ko iha-handle ang ganito kalaking pera (I don't know at the moment how to handle this much money)," he added. As the lucky bettor claimed the prize, he said not "to lose hope, there are times that we are discouraged because of not winning, but always remember that with every bet we make, we can help others," he said in a mix of Filipino and English. *(Sonny Daanoy)*
