ILOILO CITY – Police seized more than P1.17 million worth of shabu from four suspected drug pushers in three separate buy-bust operations here from Monday, July 17, to Tuesday, July 18.
Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 chief, lauded the three successful operations that started Monday night and ended at noon Tuesday.
The Iloilo City Police Office identified the suspects as Villano Mark Pajate, James Michael Chua, and Virgilio Hilario and his 29-year-old son Michael John.
The 32-year-old Pajate who was formerly convicted for drugs was arrested by the Iloilo City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) and the ICPO-La Paz Police Station. Seized from Pajete was 53 grams of suspected shabu worth P360,400.
Chua was apprehended by the ICPO-Mandurriao Police Station and recovered from him was 65 grams of shabu valued at P442,000.
The Hilarios were nabbed by the PRO-6 Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) led by Police Capt. Glenn Soliman and the ICPO-City Proper Police Station. Found in their possession was 55 grams of shabu worth almost P374,000.
Classified as major drug suspects, suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
